Original kunstbeskrivelse fra museet (© Copyright - J. Paul Getty Museum - www.getty.edu)
At the left of this small landscape, a group of maidens make music under an arbor of flowers. In an enclosed area to the right, two women sit on a net used for catching finches. From all sides youths spy on the women, perching in trees or hiding behind bushes or tree trunks. One bold voyeur clings to the top of the arbor, peering down at the women below. Another, entangled in a net, is apprehended by a soberly dressed woman, while two jesters above have fallen out of the trees.
This light-hearted painting by Adriaen van de Venne was part of a series of four landscapes representing the seasons. This painting, thought to represent spring, and its companion, A Jeu de Paume Before a Country Palace (A Ball Game Before a Country Palace), both include imagery relating to love.

- Lærred: A canvas print, which should not be confused with an artwork painted on a canvas, is a digital replica printed on a canvas fabric. Canvas Prints have the advantage of being relatively low in weight, which means that it is easy and straightforward to hang up the Canvas print without additional wall-mounts. A canvas print is suitable for any type of wall.
- Aluminium dibond (metaltryk): Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with an impressive depth, which makes a contemporary look with a non-reflective surface structure. Colors are bright and luminous in the highest definition, details of the print appear clear and crisp, and the print has a a matte appearance that you can literally feel.
- Print på akrylglas (med ægte glasbelægning): An print on acrylic glass, which is sometimes described as a UV print on plexiglass, will turn an original artwork into brilliant décor. The major advantage of an acrylic glass fine art copy is that contrasts as well as image details become more exposed thanks to the precise tonal gradation. Our acrylic glass protects your custom art print against sunlight and heat for many years.

Juridisk note: We try what we can to describe our products in as much detail as possible and to showcase them visually. At the same time, the pigments of the printed materials and the printing may diverge slightly from the image on the monitor. Depending on the screen settings and the quality of the surface, not all colors are printed as realistically as the digital version on this website. Since all our fine art prints are printed and processed by hand, there may as well be minor variations in the exact position and the size of the motif.
