Bacchus og Ariadne is a painting made by Jacob van Loo in 1650. The 370 years old version of the painting was painted with the size of unframed: 167,64 x 142,24 cm (66 x 56 in) framed: 188 x 162,2 cm (74 x 63 7/8 in). Olie på lærred was used by the painter as the medium of the artpiece. The work of art is in the the art collection of Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. Ud over dette er justeringen portræt og har et billedforhold på 1:1.2, hvilket betyder, at længden er 20 % kortere end bredden. The painter Jacob van Loo was a European artist from the Netherlands, whose art style can mainly be attributed to Baroque. The painter was born in the year 1614 in Sluis, Zeeland, Netherlands and died at the age of 56 i året 1670.
